Cantabria has an airport with direct flights to Madrid and Barcelona and some European cities in Britain, Italie an Germany. There is also a ferry line Brittany Feries connecting United Kingdom with the port of Santander, several times per week.
Cantabria offers many possibilities for the rural tourism, and practicing water and mountain sports. The region offers a wide cultural heritage, a tasteful gastronomy, cultural and sports equipments, and wonderful landscapes in “Picos de Europa” Mountains. In addition to this, Cantabria has a cultural heritage from which it is compulsory to hightlight the impressive underground world, internationally well known. 10 of the caves are declared World Heritage by UNESCO.
